All propellers are NOT created equal.
The Propeller Company offers stainless, aluminum and brass welding including, but not limited to, rebuild or modification of trailers, tractors, truck/flatbeds, pontoons and Tritoons, engine parts, mufflers, wheels, roll bars, cages, furniture, gates, ornamental iron, as well as Skeg and lower unit welding. Richard Schulzkump is one of the best in the welding industry, hands down. A third generation welder, Richard’s talent with metal is widely recognized and rarely surpassed. With more than 30 years in the marine industry, over 400,000 propeller repairs, and thousands of successful propeller sales between Richard and his father, the two are considered propeller experts. The goal of the company has always been to provide quality products and honest services at fair prices. Customer satisfaction is integral to the business and the number of established and return customers is Skip’s Prop Shop’s best advertisement.
I don’t run with the big boys in regards to boats, just a girl with a little 18′ Crest pontoon boat, but Richard made sure pontoons were solid and I had the right prop and spare on my boat before I hit the water. He also made sure I knew how to change the prop and took the time to show me, even though he was crazy busy. I won’t go anywhere else for props or pontoon help.
I tried the prop calculator, my props done by a computer and came back to Richard. I don’t trust anyone else with my propellers.
We watched Rich through his process with our lab finished 26p Bravo. It was dragged on the launch ramp. We were told by another company it could not be fixed. He hammered, welded, grinded, polished, there were parts we couldn’t watch. When he was done we couldn’t find where the prop had been hit. It looks like I just bought it, it performs better.
Richard lab finished my Bravo, my top speed went from 60mph to 70mph.
Looking for 1or 2 mph more out of the hole, I got 3. Rich is the man.
What he does to stainless is an art form!
I ship my prop from Florida. Enough said.
